Conference theme: Diversity Drives Societal Change
Computer science is an ideal career choice for women who want to have a big impact on their future world. Through the technical revolution, women can influence the major developments that are changing virtually all aspects of our everyday lives. ACM womENcourage 2019 will focus on ideas and research that deal with applications of Computer Science which impact the grand challenges in society and the environment. Participants will be encouraged to participate through posters, workshops, panel discussions as well as inspiring keynote talks. A call for participation will include computing designs, algorithms, techniques, systems, tools, evaluations and methodologies on the following non-exclusive list of topics and applications:
- Education and life-long learning,
- e-Health and wellbeing,
- Inclusive societies (equality, diversity and inclusion),
- Civic engagement and participation,
- Energy saving and climate change,
- Sustainability and humanitarian actions,
- Ethical markets,
- Security and safety,
- Transport systems optimization,
- Urban environment and smart cities.
