The womENcourage events are celebrations of European women in computing. The 2015 edition is designed to promote technical research, showcase achievements of women in computing, and provide the participants with networking opportunities, a career fair and a place to discuss issues that affect women in computing. The event is presented by ACM’s Committee on Women in Europe (ACM-WE).
We now invite submissions of papers to be presented as technical talks during the event. This is a chance to:
- share ideas and exciting new work at an international event;
- gain experience in submitting and presenting papers;
- allow others to learn about your work.
Submissions should present novel ideas, designs, techniques, systems, tools, evaluations, scientific investigations, methodologies, social issues or policy issues related to any area of computing. Authors may submit original work or versions of previously published work. Accepted submissions will not be published; they will, however, be archived on the conference website.
All submissions will be peer reviewed by our international team of reviewers. The selections will be based on originality and quality of work, seeking a representation of presentations from varied areas of computing. Please read the Guide to a Successful Submission that gives tips for writing your paper and provides information about the reviewing criteria. As the event attendees will be from many different fields within computing, submissions should introduce the area in which the work is framed and should emphasize the originality and importance of the contribution.
At least one author of each accepted submission is expected to attend the conference to present the ideas discussed in the submission. Information about student scholarships for accepted papers is available here.
