The Challenge is an engaging full-day event open to anyone passionate about leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned programmer or new to computer science, you’re welcome to join.
We encourage diverse, multidisciplinary teams comprising educators, instructional designers, data scientists, AI specialists, developers, and education policy experts to collaborate on cutting-edge educational technology solutions.
WomENcourage 2025 Hackathon Challenges
Join us in tackling key challenges that impact education, career growth, and digital well-being. This hackathon is your chance to create technology-driven solutions that drive change and promote inclusivity.
For the upcoming Hackathon, you can choose from the challenges listed below or propose your original idea that aligns with the event’s main theme.
- Girls’/Women’s Access to Education: Develop solutions that leverage technology to break down barriers hindering girls’ and women’s access to STEM education and encourage gender equality.
- Continuous Learning and Career Growth in STEM: Create tools that support lifelong learning and career advancement for women in STEM fields, or to efficiently identify career and development opportunities.
- Back to Critical Thinking – Balancing and Reducing Excessive Social Media and Digital Consumption: Design solutions that encourage critical thinking, raise awareness of digital excess and misuse, combat misinformation and scams and help users manage their digital consumption.
- Original Ideas for New and Efficient Educational Methods: Innovate new educational methodologies that utilise technology to enhance learning efficiency and effectiveness, awareness and critical thinking.

Who can join?
The hackathon welcomes participants of all genders, nationalities, and ages (18+), regardless of IT experience. Your interest in technology is the key requirement.
How long it lasts?
The hackathon takes place during the first day, on Wednesday – September 17th.

You can join the Hackathon by using the general registration form for the conference and then using the form provided there.
