Submit your poster
Overview
ACM womENcourage 2025 invites everyone to submit their work to the Poster Track. Posters provide womENcourage participants with an opportunity to present their work, benefit from insightful feedback and discussion, exchange knowledge, and establish collaborations.
We welcome poster submissions from all areas of computer science and computational sciences. The theme of this year, “Computer Science: a Catalyst for Educational Change”, emphasizes the pivotal role of computer science in transforming education and highlights its potential to shape the future of learning and accessibility.
All topics in Computer Science are welcomed, related (but not restricted) to the following list of topics and applications:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI),
- Quantum Computing,
- Human-Computer Interaction,
- Applied Mathematics in Computer Science,
- Cybersecurity,
- Natural Language Processing,
- Curriculum topics,
- Digital pedagogy,
- Learning platforms,
- Data-driven educational decisions,
- Role of entrepreneurship in driving educational innovation,
- Professional development of educators,
- Ethical and cybersecurity challenges in education,
- Initiatives that advance gender equality,
- Social issues or policy issues related to any area of computing or education in connection with Computer Science.
Authors may submit ongoing, new work or versions of their previously published work. The reviewing process will consider three poster categories, one for undergraduate students, one for graduate (MSc and PhD) students, and one for professionals.
Submission guidelines:
A. The authors should submit two PDF documents:
a) the extended abstract. The extended abstract should include the title, authors’ names and affiliations, as well as provide concise overview of the research, and should not exceed two pages in the ACM format, including bibliographic references. LaTeX users must use the provided acmart.cls and ACM-Reference-Format.bst without modification, enable the conference format in the preamble of the document (i.e., \documentclass[sigconf,review]{acmart}), and use the ACM reference format for the bibliography (i.e., \bibliographystyle{ACM-Reference-Format}). The review option adds line numbers, thereby allowing referees to refer to specific lines in their comments.
(b) visual poster. It is recommended that the abstract submission is accompanied with the visual poster. The poster should also include the title, authors’ names and affiliations, and a visually compelling presentation of the research presented in the extended abstract. The poster might also include QR codes to link to online materials. At the submission time the poster should be limited to a single A4 page. The template for the visual poster can be found here . For the conference, please print your visual poster in A1 portrait format (with dimensions of 84.1 cm in height and 59.4 cm in width).
B. Submissions should be in English.
C. The submissions must comply with the ACM Policy on Plagiarism, Misrepresentation, and Falsification.
D. Submissions can have multiple authors (of any gender). At least one author of each accepted poster is expected to attend the event and present the poster. Authors of accepted posters can apply for womENcourage Scholarship.
E. Upon acceptance, the authors should submit the final extended abstract, the final poster, and optionally a 1-minute video recording to summarize the work and to serve as a teaser to attract the audience.
Submission(s) should be made through HotCRP.
The submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Degree to which there is a fit to the theme of the conference.
- How attractive the topic could be for womENcourage participants.
- How easy to understand the topic is for a person from another field of CS.
