This year’s womENcourage hackathon is designed to showcase how computer science can be a driver of well-being. This event provides a platform for participants to apply their technical knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills to develop innovative technological solutions that address pressing well-being challenges.

This year’s challenge theme is aligning with the conference’s central focus on well-being and Support for Women in Computing.

The Challenge is an engaging full-day event open to anyone passionate about leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences. Whether you’re a seasoned programmer or new to computer science, you’re welcome to join. 

We encourage diverse, multidisciplinary teams from different domains: computer sciences, software development, cybersecurity, data science, AI, well-being and psychology to collaborate on cutting-edge technology solutions for well-being for all. 

WomENcourage 2026 Hackathon Challenges

Join us in tackling key challenges that impact education, career growth, and digital well-being. This hackathon is your chance to create technology-driven solutions that drive change and promote inclusivity. 

For the upcoming Hackathon, you will be able to choose from the challenges that will be proposed or propose your original idea that aligns with the event’s main theme.

Who can join?

The hackathon welcomes participants of all genders, nationalities, and ages (18+), regardless of IT experience. Your interest in technology is the key requirement.

How long does it last?

The hackathon takes place during the first day, on Wednesday – September 30th.

16.00-17.00 Hackathon Pitch (3 minutes for each team + 2 minutes for questions)

How do I join?

You can join the Hackathon by using the general registration form for the conference and then using the form provided there.

Whether you’re into coding, design, or big ideas, you’ll get to collaborate, innovate, and create solutions that improve well-being in personal and/or professional life and promote smarter habits.

No matter your experience level, you’ll gain hands-on skills, meet awesome people, and have fun tackling real-world challenges.

For your support mentors will be available throughout the event to provide guidance as you build your project, ensuring that everyone can contribute meaningfully regardless of their background or expertise level.
