Venue

The venue for womENcourage 2024 will be the Auditorium building of the School of Engineering (EPS) of the Carlos III University of Madrid.

The School of Engineering (EPS) of the Carlos III University of Madrid is located in Leganés, at Av. de la Universidad, 30, 28911 Leganés, Madrid. Leganes is a city in the Madrid metropolitan area located 12 km and 20 minutes by train from Atocha train station. Leganés is a city in the south of the Community of Madrid that has more than 180,000 inhabitants and is easily accessible both by road (M40, M54, M50) and by public transport (bus, Metro and Renfe commuter trains).

Travel

From the airport: take the underground/metro line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios. Change to the commuter train line (Cercanias) and take any train going to Atocha station (C2, C3, C4, C7, C10). In Atocha, take line C5 in the direction of Humanes and get off at Leganés Central. Upon leaving the train station from the main exit, turn left and walk straight on for 5 minutes until you reach the University.

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT TAKE THE METRO TO UC3M.

From the AVE train: in Atocha station, take the commuter train line (Cercanias) C5 to Humanes and get off at Leganés Central. Upon leaving the train station from the main exit, turn left and walk straight on for 5 minutes until you reach the University.

From the center of Madrid: the quickest way is to take the metro line 1 to Atocha Renfe station and then take the commuter train line (Cercanias) C5 to Humanes and get off at Leganés Central. Upon leaving the train station from the main exit, turn left and walk straight on for 5 minutes until you reach the University.
