Diversity, Equity and Inclusion\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

We organize our conference <\/span>based on AMC\u2019s statement that <\/span>anyone, from any background, should feel encouraged to participate and contribute to ACM. Differences \u2013 in age, race, gender and sexual orientation, nationality, physical ability, thinking style and experience \u2013 bring richness to our efforts in providing quality programs and services for the global computing community.<\/span><\/p>\n

ACM is committed to creating an environment that welcomes new ideas and perspectives, and where hostility or other antisocial behaviors are not tolerated. Our DEI chair this year at the conference is\u00a0Birgit Penzenstadler<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our actions at womENcourage:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. We established a diverse organization committee in terms of gender, age, and ethnicity.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. We solicited sponsorships to provide over 70 fellowships to support attendees who otherwise might not have the funds to participate.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. We request adherence to the ACM Code of Conduct<\/a>. If you feel it has been violated or if you feel uncomfortable for any reason at any point during the conference, please approach Birgit<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. In the registration form, we asked how to accommodate you best <\/span>
    \n<\/span>(accessibility, dietary registrations, what would make you feel welcomed)<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. We have provision for impaired sight or hearing as well as wheelchair accessible premises.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. We briefed all workshop organizers and presenters in terms of accessibility of their content material (e.g., readability of slides), diversity in examples (if applicable), and inclusiveness in their wording.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. We provide a meet & greet place as well as a quiet room at the conference.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
