The overall purpose of a workshops and tutorials is to provide an opportunity\u00a0 an opportunity to gain knowledge and practical skills from experts, peers, and colleagues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Workshops\/tutorials can be long (3 hours) or short (1,5 hours) depending on the scope and the content of the event. By reminding you that this conference is open to all genders and in your proposal we kindy ask you:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to use English as a primary language<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to avoid political statements, political films, brochures or similar\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proposals should be prepared using the SIGCONF template from the packages available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acm.org\/publications\/proceedings-template\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(https:\/\/www.acm.org\/publications\/proceedings-template). Proposals should provide information about the:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workshop\/tutorial title<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workshop\/tutorial abstract [max 500 words]<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workshop\/tutorial keywords [at least 3 keywords]<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workshop\/tutorial description: objectives, goals, relevance to WomEncourge2023, and expected outcomes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">details of presenter(s)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">description of target audience and expected outcomes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workshop\/tutorial duration, format, activities, and schedule\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The WomEncourge 2023 organizing committee invites proposals for workshops which should be submitted through <a href=\"https:\/\/womencourage2023-workshops.hotcrp.com\">HotCRP\u00a0<\/a> and follow <a href=\"https:\/\/womencourage.acm.org\/2023\/call-to-take-part\/important-dates\/\">this timeline<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Proposal evaluation criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All workshop proposals will be reviewed based on the following considerations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Relevance of the workshop to the scope of the main event<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Novelty with respect to the other workshops\/tutorials<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Likely impact on the target community and workshop\u2019s potential for attracting participants<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uploading the proposal in accordance with the criterias<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/womencourage.acm.org\/2023\/our-team\/#WorkshopTutorial_Chairs\">Workshop\/Tutorial Chairs<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Call for Workshops We welcome proposals for workshops and tutorials on topics related to the conference theme, Computing Connecting Everyone.
