Trondheim is home to more than 200<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">000 inhabitants and is the third most populous municipality in Norway. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trondheim was Norway\u00b4s capital in the Viking age and has important buildings from the middle ages (Nidaros Cathedral, Archbishop\u2019s Palace). The Archbishop\u2019s Palace is the oldest secular building in Scandinavia. You can also visit the monk\u00b4s island in the Trondheimsfjord by boat, or the Sverresborg museum (12th century open-air, cultural heritage museum). Trondheim city also has a lot of galleries to explore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The city is located in the heart of Norway, and the citizens are characterized by having a warm heart for all visitors. We have historical and beautiful<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> charming sights that will undoubtedly get visitors excited! The department has 3000 students and 300 employees across three campuses of which 30% are female. The Department of Computer Science (IDI) conducts research in the fields of<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> artificial intelligence (AI), big data, computer architecture, computer graphics, computer security, databases, human computer interaction (HCI), information systems, operating systems, software engineering, and search\u2013to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">name<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a few. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If we count the large number of students (every sixth inhabitant is a student), the population swells to more than 235,000. The students add a youthful atmosphere to this thousand-year-old city. Trondheim is a technology and research city.
